Political Philosophy for Victor Noel "Noel" Pinto Correia
Candidate for |
I have called Antioch home since 2004; crime is on the rise, our police are not fully-funded, City services are on the decline and City Budget balancing is a challenge. My enthusiasm to become your voice as a City Council member is to represent you without bias and to involve you and the community in all the decision-making processes of City government and bring about change, which will benefit all of us. If you choose me to represent you in the November elections, I will be transparent, committed, dedicated and involved in our community and speak for you and all the citizens of Antioch in the decision-making process. I will conduct monthly town hall meetings at different locations for your convenience throughout the City so that I can listen to all of your concerns first-hand and address them with fellow Council Members and the Mayor for resolution. My goal will be to work very closely with the City Manager to ensure the following:
1.Ensure a balanced annual City Budget. "My commitment to the citizens of Antioch is to involve you, hear you and serve you without reservation. My pledge to you is: I have no personal agenda; my only motivation for becoming a Council Member is to serve Antioch, my community, honestly, fairly, transparently and with highest integrity. No more business as usual; I will initiate teamwork, introduce thinking-outside-the-box strategies, conflict resolution and creative solutions." - Noel Pinto |
