This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

My name is: Peter J Murray

My age is: 64

My occupation is: Business Development Manager

Education and Qualifications:

I am committed to keeping Pinole safe and viable.

During my tenure on the Pinole City Council, and despite the recession, I've helped expand Pinole's business community with the addition of Chase Bank, Kaiser Permanente, Pinole Shore Business Park, Mel's Diner, Burlington's, Chipotle, Tina's Place, and the complete renewal of the Pinole Valley Shopping Center, including Trader Joe's. We'll do more.

The council has reduced costs and increased efficiency. Current employees have helped us by reducing their own total compensation (salaries and benefits) by 14 million dollars, or more than 15% per employee.

I support joint police and community efforts to reduce crime in Pinole. Through proactive police activities and Neighborhood Watch programs, Part I violent crime is reduced. This downward trend must continue so the reality of safe neighborhoods and business environments is fully realized.

Together, we will maintain Pinole's identity as a wonderful, family oriented community. Our quality of life is at stake.

I devote myself to our city's and citizens' concerns daily. I hope I have shown that I am worthy of your vote to remain on the Pinole City Council.

I humbly ask for your vote to continue this important work.

Sincerely, Mayor Peter Murray
