This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

My name is: Tim McGallian

My age is: 31

My occupation is: Concord Planning Commissioner; Business Underwriting Specialist and Budget Manager

Education and Qualifications:

I have a deep sense of community, having lived in Concord with my wife, Michelle, and our two young children (Alyssa, 5 and Andrew, 9) for 8 years. Currently, I am a Concord Planning Commissioner - the youngest with small children at home. I am running for the City Council to ensure that Concord remains a safe place for families who live here.

Despite my young age, I am the kind of person who is first to step up when there is a community project or a problem that needs solving. I believe in giving back.

I am Vice-Chair of the Concord Chamber of Commerce, past President of our Kiwanis Club, and School Board President at my kids' school. I am head baseball coach for Little League, a CYO basketball coach, Cub Scout leader, and service club adviser at Concord High.

When there is a need in our community, I am not afraid to roll up my sleeves and get to work. I am proud of organizing the community to raise $10,000 for medical bills for a 7-year-old boy on my T-ball team with leukemia.

I hope to bring the same kind of enthusiasm and hard work ethic to the Concord City Council.

If elected, I will make neighborhood safety my first priority. We need to keep violent crime out of Concord and ensure our 911 dispatchers are responsive to residents' calls. I am honored to have earned the support of the Concord Police Association, Contra Costa County Sheriff David Livingston and District Attorney Mark Peterson.

I will use my budget experience to make sound financial decisions and my business acumen to promote jobs creation. I will not accept taxpayer-funded in-lieu healthcare payments. I would be honored to earn your vote. Please call me at (925) 408-5349 or visit http://www.TimMcGallian.com.
