FISCAL CONSERVATIVE

I never forget that the school district is funded by the taxpayers. It is not our money. It is yours! Your tax dollars are spent wisely, carefully and judiciously.

WE CAN DO BETTER!

Although we are one of the best performing school districts in California, I am not satisfied. We can do better. I believe in continuously raising the bar to achieve a better education for our students. Each year our District-wide test and proficiency scores keep going up. Good! I want them even higher. In the competitive college environment and world economy awaiting our students, we can do no less.

CUSTOMER OF THE DISTRICT

I have experienced our schools first hand as a parent. My youngest daughter graduated from the District and went on to graduate with honors from UC - Berkeley and Columbia University Law School.

BELIEVES STRONGLY IN PUBLIC EDUCATION

I believe that Public Education is the foundation of America's greatness. The essence of what we are as a nation was forged both on the frontier and in a quality public education for its citizens. We are the beneficiaries and inheritors of that vision for all Americans. As a member of the Board of Education, I recognize that an excellent public education for our children is both a gift from one generation to another and an awesome responsibility for those of us elected and entrusted by our fellow citizens to educate our children.
