This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

My name is: Kim Lehmkuhl

My age is: 32

My occupation is: Nonprofit research and campaign manager

Education and Qualifications:

I would be honored to have the opportunity to serve our local community as your City Clerk.

An area native, I grew up and attended public schools next door in Walnut Creek, and have made Fair Oaks my home for the past two years.

I attended Columbia Law School and worked for three years at a public interest law firm in Berkeley. My legal background qualifies me to carry out an important function of the City Clerk position: ensuring compliance with campaign finance and conflict of interest laws, and processing city ordinances and resolutions.

I have extensive experience as a community advocate. In my current role at a national civil rights organization, I've worked to protect voting rights. I'm also leading a project to support local radio programming and expand public access to information over community airwaves. In this capacity, I've demonstrated a commitment to civic engagement and transparency essential to fulfilling other key roles of the City Clerk's office: conducting citywide elections, and ensuring that city government proceedings are publicly accessible.

I am committed to helping Pleasant Hill residents stay engaged in our community, and to keeping City Hall accountable, ethical and transparent. I would appreciate your support.
