Education and Qualifications: I was originally introduced to Concord in 1979, moving here and sharing a house with friends for a couple of years. When my wife, Cheryl, and I were looking for a new home in 1989, I thought back to my previous years in Concord. I recalled a 'small town' family atmosphere, combining the suburbs with a city and thought it would be a great place to raise our family. We found our current house and have raised our three children in that same home.

I have a belief that, when possible, we should give back to our community and neighborhoods. I believe that we, as a community, have an obligation to see our needs met; to do what we can to ensure our success; to make ourselves positive role models. I have involved myself in the community as a local soccer coach and have been doing so since 1994. I have had the pleasure of seeing so many of our children grow, both physically and mentally and become part of Concords future.

With that being said, I would like to see Concord remain a safe and strong family community. To do so, we need to ensure that we have adequate funding for our police and fire department. We need to ensure that we maintain our infrastructure. Our neighbors are complaining of the area surrounding the Concord BART. This station is the gateway to our city, and we want to put our best foot forward. We are proud of our city and want to ensure that people's first impression of Concord is one of community concern.

When it comes to issues pertaining to our city, I pledge to withhold a decision until I have heard all sides of the issue. I can then vote with our city's best interests at heart.
