This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

My name is: Mark Allan Jewett

My age is: 45

My occupation is: Accountant

Education and Qualifications:

I attended SRVUSD schools every year, K-12. My two young children are attending SRVUSD schools, K-12. As a beneficiary of the high academic and leadership development standards employed by the SRVUSD schools, it is now my responsibility to give back and provide a continuing framework of excellence for all of our children.

I hold a bachelor's degree in quantitative economics and two master's degrees in accounting and taxation and have spent the past 19 years in the accounting and finance profession. Using this background, I will hold myself, and the Board, accountable to you for providing plain language and transparent financial information regarding our public school finance system. Through this, I will build deeper layers of trust among all SRVUSD stakeholders, as I have done the past two years as a member of the District's Parcel Tax Oversight Committee.

Join me in my commitment to provide thoughtful and rigorous governance of the SRVUSD by continuously improving effective academic and extracurricular programs, providing an environment where our teachers can succeed and are valued, maintaining meticulous fiscal oversight and transparency, and developing continuous, unparalleled community support for our SRVUSD schools, all aimed at the success of our students.
