  • Core curriculum excellence preparing students for college or careers
  • Richness of programs to educate the whole child, and every child
  • Opportunities for leadership development

Maintain conservative, rigorous fiscal oversight and plain language transparency
  • Provide plain-language explanations of district finances(budgets, projections) and state funding mechanisms
  • Educate all district stakeholders in public school financing and the challenges ahead
  • Balance short term funding initiatives with long term fiscal viability

Support and value the teaching profession
  • Recognize and acknowledge the value add our teachers bring to our students
  • Continue to attract, retain, and reward the most engaged and effective teachers
  • Develop our teachers with meaningful, continuous feedback and provide relevant development opportunities

Develop continuous community support of our SRVUSD schools
  • Engage with community leaders and link their success to our schools' success
  • Empower parents with timely, relevant, accessible, transparent and understandable information
  • Encourage appropriate out-of-district extracurricular activities
  • Engage with local business with partnership opportunities providing mutually beneficial results
