Smart Voter Official Statement for David Hansen

Candidate for
Council Member; City of Oakley

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

My name is: David Hansen

My age is: 51

My occupation is: Business Owner

Education and Qualifications:

I am a 20 year resident of Oakley. I am married and have four children. Three married, one in High School, one serving in the military.

I am a local business owner. I served as a pastor and have experience working with tight budgets and successfully building volunteer teams. I have served as a volunteer Police Chaplain for ten years. I have taught at most of Oakley's schools, gaining an understanding of the needs within our schools and children. I also serve as a volunteer in many leadership capacities at my church. I serve Freedom Football Athletics as an announcer and scoreboard operator.

My background as a husband, father, businessman, Pastor, Chaplain, teacher and athletic programs lends itself to serving the City of Oakley and its residents in an effective manner. I understand servant leadership, budgeting, working with committees and staff and working under pressure. I believe that my positive relationships with schools and administrations, churches and local law enforcement agencies and business owners in the community will be an asset in helping lead Oakley into a strong and positive future. I look forward to serving you on the City Council in Oakley.

Thank You for your Vote.
