Essential to the enjoyment of a community is a sense of safety and security. Oakley needs to continue to support our local law enforcement and emergency personnel and to provide the tools and resources needed for them to do their job effectively.The Oakley Police Department has been very proactive in dealing with the issues in the community. They not only respond to incidents and get results effectively, but they are proactive in outreach to the community. The Oakley Police Department runs a very tight ship and use the limited resources to the fullest. There are needs that continually arise both with numbers of officers and tools and equipment needed to do the job of protecting and serving to the highest level. As a city we need to continue to ensure our law enforcement has the personnel and resources needed to maintain a high level of service and protection. We want to see Oakley continue to be a place where people feel safe and confident in their police and emergency services. A safe city is a great place to raise a family and a great place to live. |
