Education and Qualifications:

Our citizens voted by more than 84% in June to keep Antioch's system of electing its Mayor. Residents want an independent, strong, effective leader. This will always be my goal as your mayor.

I was honored to serve as your elected mayor from 2000 - 2008. During that time, we maintained a robust police department (with 126 approved sworn officer positions). We balanced our City budgets and kept a healthy reserve. We expanded Highway 4 to eight lanes, extended BART to Antioch, and constructed the Antioch Community Center to better serve our community.

Sadly, times have changed. Today City Hall is in deep trouble.

You deserve a mayor with proven leadership ability. I am a lifelong Antioch resident and accomplished public servant with the experience and commitment to serve.

Here are my priorities if elected: Provide independent, strong, effective leadership. Advocate for prudent city budgeting - no one wants City Hall to go bankrupt. Fight to protect essential city services - including increasing police patrols, fixing potholes on city streets, and economic recovery initiatives that restore and create well-paying jobs. Hold banks accountable to maintain foreclosed properties or face substantial fines. Promote activities that protect Antioch youth from a life of drugs, gangs and crime. Stand for open, responsive and accountable city government. Most importantly, when you contact me, I will respond.
