This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

My name is: David Durant

My age is: 50

My occupation is: Incumbent/General Counsel

Education and Qualifications:

My wife and I moved to Pleasant Hill to raise our children. We feel lucky to call this our hometown.

My goal as a City Councilmember has always been to preserve Pleasant Hill's hometown feel and keep it a great place to live, work, play, raise a family and retire. So, I have focused on keeping our neighborhoods safe, having schools that stress success, keeping a lid on traffic, and enhancing quality of life.

With unemployment rates high, creating new jobs has been critically important. So, I led efforts to retain existing businesses, remove barriers to conducting business in Pleasant Hill and create a welcoming climate for new businesses.

City leaders need to be accountable and to treat tax dollars the way our families treat their budgets. So, I led the effort to tackle issues other cities ignored. I stood for what was fair and right, to ensure that our government is open, our residents heard, our community maintained, and our city fiscally strong. And, Pleasant Hill resisted the temptation to spend beyond our means.

I am proud of what we have accomplished together. I respectfully ask for your vote so together we can continue strengthening Pleasant Hill. Our hometown.

Thank you.

David Durant
