Education and Qualifications:

I have spent my career devoted to advocating for fiscal accountability for a variety of entities. My career specialty has been in administration, with a goal of assisting entities to target and prioritize their monetary resources appropriate to their needs. Over the span of my 34-year career, I have provided direction for budget alignment for several local education agencies as well as the State of California.

I hold a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of the Pacific and received my undergraduate degree from U.C. Berkeley and my Master's Degree from Cal State East Bay. In addition, I hold a Professional Administrative Credential.

My husband and I have lived in Orinda for 32 years. Our two daughters attended Glorietta, OIS and Miramonte and were fortunate to have benefited from all of the rich community resources that Orinda has to offer.

Personally, I have a long history of civic involvement. I served on Orinda's EFO Board, the Glorietta and OIS Parents' Club Boards, and founded Orinda's first Girl Scout Daisy Troop. In addition, I spent significant volunteer hours devoted to Meadow Swim Team.

Over the years I have developed a great understanding of the concerns of the local community. I believe my career specialty as well as my deep roots in the community, puts me in an excellent position to address the complicated set of issues currently facing the City of Orinda.
