My occupation is: Contra Costa Health Services; Deputy Conservator/Public Guardian

Education and Qualifications:

Dear Concord Residents and Friends,

I was born and raised in California and have spent the last 32 years working and raising our three children Jared, Micah and Elisha in Concord. My children attended public schools and received an excellent education which has launched them into professional careers as adults.

I am a fiscally responsible, socially progressive woman who believes in accountability and transparency in government. I support our city services for Police, Fire Fighters and Teachers. I am running for City Council to ensure that the current fiscal challenges are resolved and that the community moves forward to benefit families, schools and business growth.

I graduated from San Francisco State University receiving my B.A. in Sociology with a Minor in Criminal Justice. I have a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University and am a Certified Deputy California Public Guardian/Conservator.

I currently serve our community on the following Boards and Commissions: City of Concord Commission on Aging; Contra Costa County Advisory Council on Aging; California Adaptive Learning Center for Autism; and Contra Costa County Canyon Creek Home Owners Association.

I volunteer my time with Contra Costa Crisis Counseling Center; Nami, a National Alliance for Mental Illness; Young Life Ministry in Contra Costa County; CERT Volunteer for Concord, and am a Veterans Association supporter.

I live by the philosophy of "Do not walk through life without leaving worthy evidence of your passage," and believe the words of Dietrick Bonhoeffer "The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children."

I look forward to tackling the current and future issues that will maintain and keep the City of Concord a safe and memorable place to live.

I would be honored and privileged to serve the residents of Concord.
