I believe that Antioch's better days are ahead of us! We must continue the efforts of Transparency, Integrity and Professionalism! As your Antioch City Clerk I will make sure that City business is carried out with precision so that Antioch shines as a model City of the Delta.I am Argentina Dávila-Luévano and I am running for Antioch City Clerk because I believe in an open and transparent government where the elected are accountable to the voters. I received my Bachelor's of Social Work from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1985 and believe in lifelong learning by seeking other coursework. I possess executive level skills acquired in my past jobs and volunteer posts. I have worked with infants, children, at-risk youth, families, Foster Placement, directed elderly and Head Start programs. I am married, have grown children and grandchildren that attend elementary, middle, high school, and college. I have served in numerous posts as member and officer at the Kiwanis Club of the Delta-Antioch, Center for Education and Information Services, Contra Costa Commission for Women and the National League of Latin American Citizens. I am president and CEO of California LULAC Institute a nonprofit organization designed to provide services and programs in Education, Health, Housing Social Cultural and Economic Development throughout California. As a business woman I understand the need for balanced budgets and accountability. I believe that Antioch's better days are ahead of us! We must staff our Commissions to enhance our City and provide a safe community and full services for all our residents. I am looking forward to serving the entire City of Antioch! |
