Smart Voter Official Statement for Thomas E Baldocchi, Jr.

Candidate for
Board Member; Knightsen Elementary School District

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

My name is: Thomas Baldocchi Jr

My age is: 39

My occupation is: Firefighter/Farmer

Education and Qualifications:

I am a proud 1986 graduate of Knightsen Elementary and have earned an A.A. degree in Public Safety. I am Firefighter and a 3rd generation Knightsen Hay grower. As a 2nd term Trustee for an area Reclamation District, I have established a solid record of experience dealing with contracts, governing laws and regulations. I understand how such governing laws, regulations and other standards affect Districts and how a Board operates.

My wife Devon is active in the classroom and Vice President of the Knightsen Parent Teacher Club. Our sons are students at Knightsen School.

If elected I will work with the other board members and the Superintendent as a team. A team that will set the District's vision and goals, vision for the future, goals to provide a 21st century education while keeping that small town feel with strong morals, work ethic and community pride. I will adopt a fiscally sound budget, working to meet our requirements to pay our District's debt without reducing our obligations to provide for our students, focusing on student achievement. I support class size reductions and will strive to provide staff support, needed facility services and classroom supplies and technology.
