Retired Educator

I am a third generation Chico resident and graduate from Pleasant Valley High School. My two children attended Chico schools and my wife taught at Chapman School. I served as a principal in Chico Unified for 16 years before becoming a district superintendent of two K-8 school districts in Northern California.

My 35 years of professional commitment to public education as a teacher, administrator, and school board member gives me unique qualifications, knowledge, and passion to serve our students on the Butte County Board of Education. I have a teaching credential, B.S. and Masters degree. As a Board member, I am committed to ensuring that the Butte County Office of Education supports school districts and charter schools to provide quality education for all students in Butte County.

My experience beyond education includes community involvement with United Way, Rotary, and Far West Heritage Association. I help manage our family walnut ranch and business properties. These experiences give me a broad knowledge base to promote sound policies effecting our schools.

I respectfully ask for your vote so I can continue to promote quality education on the Butte County Board of Education.
