Sean Morgan moved to Chico in 1974 at age 4. He attended Citrus and Shasta Elementary Schools, Bidwell Jr. High, and Chico High and Graduated from the Chico State College of Business in 1993.

Sean Morgan is married to Amber Morgan. They have two boys, Ashton (13) and Zachary (11). Sean has been involved in local youth sports for over a decade as a coach, referee, and team parent. Sean volunteers his time to make sure the children of our community have the resources necessary to stay active and busy.

Sean began his first company while still in college and was traveling around the country speaking on the small business lecture circuit at age 25. It was here he learned the value of budgets, living within one's means, and managing diverse groups of people.

After 12 years as a small business owner Sean returned to Chico State to obtain an MBA and started another company with his wife. Sean currently runs two businesses and is a full time business instructor at Chico State. He also serves on the Board of Mentors for the Chico State Center for Entrepreneurship. Sean takes great pleasure watching young adults head off to succeed in the real world using skills he taught them.

In addition to his small business background and education Sean has professional certifications in Project Management from Stanford University and Business Dynamics from MIT.

As a member of Grace Community Church, Sean has spent countless hours teaching Sunday school, leading small studies, and, as a member of the management team, analyzing tough budget issues and making decisions about the financial future of the church.

Sean's favorite time of year is any day he can watch his own children participating in activities; and graduation day for the Chico State College of Business.

It is Sean's firm belief that our city council needs to re prioritize its agenda to align with the City's Mission Statement: A safe place to raise a family, an ideal location for business, and a premier place to live.
