Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Butte-Glenn Community College District; Trustee Area 7

The Butte-Glenn Community College Trustee Area #7 consists of the Willows and Princeton School Districts. I have lived all my life in the Princeton-Willows area, and I a 1979 graduate of Princeton High School. I attended Butte College and graduated from California State University, Chico. All three of my children have, or are currently attending Butte College. I currently farm with my family in the Princeton and Willows area. My background has always been that of the local Glenn and Butte counties area. I am local, and understand the needs and problems of our local communities.

I have have a strong financial background having been trained and employed by the Farm Credit System. I currently practice law in Butte and Glenn Counties, as well as managing several local area irrigation and drainage districts.

In 2008, I was elected to the Glenn County Board of Education, where I have served as Committee Chairs, and for the past two years have been the Board's Vice President. During the past four years GCOE has been able to decrease costs, increase employee wages, provide increased services to the local school districts, and do so without evading reserves. I understand governmental accounting and finance, and have used this knowledge and experince extensively in my oversight of the Glenn county Office of Education.

I have a vested interest in our local communities, and will understand the local issues.
