Hello, my name is Gary Loustale and I am running for Chico Unified School District Board of Trustees. I grew up on a farm in Tracy, California, and graduated from Tracy High School in 1976. I graduated from San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton two years later, and then from Chico State University in 1981. I have been married to my wife, Diane, for 24 years and have 3 grown children. My two so ns graduated from Chico High School and currently attend CSU Chico and CSU Monterey Bay. My daughter will graduate from Pleasant Valley High School next June.

For the past 31 years I have worked in the information technology field. For over 20 years I was owner/operator of Computer Services and Repair. In the past 10 years I have worked for Butte County Office of Education as a Career Tech Educator for the ROP Department. Classes I teach are in the field of Computer Technology and Small Business Administration.

I have worked in the community as a volunteer in the following organizations: Chico Westside Little League - Board Member and President, St. Vincent de Paul Society - President, and Ishi Toastmasters - President.

I am running for School Board because we live in a time where educating students is becoming more complex. I would like to help streamline the system and make it a better place for students, teachers, parents, and the community as a whole. Educational needs are many and diverse and I bring an open mind and a willingness to seek creative solutions. Vote for Gary Loustale on Tuesday November 6, 2012
