Candidate for
Board Member; Butte County Board of Education; Trustee Area 1

I am a native of Chico, raised by dedicated educators who served on the Butte County Board of Education. For over a decade, I have closely followed the issues and challenges faced by the BCOE. I am deeply committed to the mission and integrity of the Board and would consider it a great honor to serve as one of its members.

As a management consultant with over 20 years of local, national and international experience, I specialize in strategic planning, organizational change success, finance and conflict resolution. Over the coming years, the BCOE and the Board will face significant challenges in each of these areas.

Academically, I am a product of Butte County's public schools. I hold a BA with Honors from UCLA in International Economics and an MA with Honors in Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. Professionally, I have managed transactions totaling nearly $2 billion, many of which involved privatizing public assets. I have served on several high profile boards, I speak Spanish and own a small business where I assist local entrepreneurs in starting businesses. For personal enjoyment, I practice martial arts and coach youth sports. I am the fortunate father of 3 beautiful children.
