Spanish is spoken in Heather Reyes' multi-cultural, multi-generational household. Heather and her husband place a high priority on their children speaking English to prepare them for the future workforce and to allow for more advancement opportunities in life. She's been active with the school district by attending parent and school board meetings to present ideas to the District. She's a proud member of HUSD's Financial Integrity Transparency Advisory Group (FITAG) and is familiar with the financial aspect of the District. She believes the entire community is affected by the schools and she is active within the City of Hayward to ensure her community is well-informed.
