Political Philosophy for Peter Tateishi
Candidate for |

I am excited to run for California's new 8th Assembly District covering various communities in Sacramento; communities such as Arden-Arcade, Carmichael, Citrus Heights, Foothill Farms, Gold River, Herald, La Riviera, North Highlands, Rancho Cordova, Rancho Murieta, Rosemont, Vineyard and Wilton. I have lived in this district my entire life, started my family here and spent my career serving the communities of this district. As someone who understands our diverse communities, I know that I will represent you and this district well. My approach to government is quite simple, I want state government to foster an environment that empowers job creators, not cripples them with burdensome regulations and obstacles to success. In my view, raising taxes in this environment is an obstacle to success. While on the park board in Carmichael, I successfully developed new parks without raising taxes or bankrupting the district. I've worked in government and the private sector and I understand that government should not be in the business of creating winners and losers. It should free the hands of small businesses and get out of the way. As a new father, my commitment to a better California has been reinvigorated. I love California - I always have - and I want my daughter to live in a state with personal, educational and professional opportunities. To ensure that she has those freedoms, I've decided to stand up and do something about it. Please join me by visiting http://www.peterforassembly.com. |
