• Protecting Social Security and Medicare against all threats

• Fighting back against large corporations' power and domination of our economy and democratic process, while implementing a large transaction tax on Wall Street

• Major reductions in military spending, in order to end perpetual war and reinvest money here at home

• Full employment; living-wage jobs; laws and enforcement that rigorously protect labor rights

• Single-payer health care, with national commitment to full access to quality health care as a human right

• Promote a constitutional amendment to end corporate personhood and to affirm that campaign-related spending can be strictly regulated, thereby overturning the Citizens United decision

• Immediately cosponsor the "Fair Elections Now Act" -- which would establish public financing of elections (sometimes called "clean money") and enable federal candidates to avoid large donations, big money bundlers and donations from lobbyists
