Jobs and the EconomyBy Jason T. HodgeCandidate for State Senator; District 19 | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
We must invest in our economy and focus on creating jobs here in California.California is more successful when we invest in our middle class and small business owners- who can grow our economy successfully from the bottom up. The people aren't bad, the system is. Californians' cannot find work, our college graduate and have little opportunities in the workplace after graduation. Countless people have been affected by the financial collapse. As state senator I create an environment that rewards the hard work and responsibility of our middle class. Being a elected Harbor Commissioner, one of my jobs is to focus on economic opportunities, and local job creation. As a State Senator I will possess a balance of pragmatic solutions and a fresh, optimistic vision for the future as evidenced in my record of local policymaking on economic issues. As an advocate of small businesses as the engine of economic success and job creation, I understand the current difficulties for young and developing businesses. By providing tax cutes to small businesses and expanding lending so that businesses can create new jobs and have their piece of the American dream. I understand the significance of meeting California's needs, not just short term but long term as well. |
