Delivery Capability and isolation of countries that continue agressive miltary grade uranium enrichment.A message of support for AIPAC (American Israel Public Action Committee) from Congressional Candidate Gene Hamilton Carswell 52nd District. I fully support Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel. It is a multicultural center of religious belief and harmony. No place on earth greater exemplifies this harmony. It exemplifies the love of all cultures. Al cultures coexist there, Palestinians, Jewish, Arab etc. That is a statement to the world that this can and will eventually occur worldwide. This should send a message to every nation that we can learn from each other and the fears placed upon various uneducated right wing fundamentalist are spin techniques that are promoted out of hate, bigotry and fanaticism. Peaceful coexistence is but one step away and this is being achieved in the Israeli parliament Knesset where members consist of all these groups. Truly a worldwide peaceful representative of ideas and cultures are represented. However currently, Iran's government is the antithesis of this idea. Iran's development of nuclear capability for military use is not credible; the sanctions against Iran seem to be starting to be effective deterrents for proliferation of military grade uranium, but please read on. Even with the most secure environment (inside mountains) for the enrichment of uranium to weapons grade, Iran does not have a delivery capability. Recently and concurrently with these developments Iran has sent representatives to North Korea to observe their launch of North Koreas Ballistic Missile test. Which was a dismal failure? Why were they interested and invited guests? Why has North Korea given additional help for the scientist of Iran and embraced this government. Certainly they also are giving help to Iran to enrich their uranium to weapons grade. Throughout the region many mid-eastern nations including India and Pakistan have the capability and the delivery systems to strike any nation in the region. Have these nations used this as a deterrent for their security or have they actually used this power for intimating they wish a first strike capacity? The answer is... no they have not used this for a first strike weapon. My understanding is that conventional warfare between these two countries has lessened because of a much more newfound respect for each other and an understanding that the retaliatory response from the other country would be devastating. These countries have gained a more secure sovereignty. Other countries in the region would certainly intervene in any nuclear exchange because of their economic commitment to the region and to insure stability. Fear, and religious fanaticism of this magnitude is unacceptable and this has not gone unnoticed by Iran's politicians. They are exploiting their uneducated that lack a peaceful understanding. So the primary question concerning Iran... is it flexing its political domestic muscle to secure the current governing body, its political dominance domestically and is this political agenda understood internationally? Would more peaceful existence prevail in the region with Iran possessing this military capability? Would paranoia and an immediate response be the correct solution? China, Russia, Germany, France, the United Kingdom and the United States have four new affective sanctions in place and Iran is showing signs of yielding. These are the strategies that must be continued and promoted. AIPAC is the primary tool that has consistently educated the leadership within our nation concerning this military threat. AIPAC must be given the resources to continue this process of applying pressure within the peaceful nations to stop terrorism and irresponsible nuclear proliferation thru Bipartisanship within our congress and cooperation with other peaceful nations. THESE FACTS ARE INDISPUTABLE AND IRREFUTABLE A. Iran is an enemy and is hostile to its neighbors and Israel. B. Iran has not shown a respect for military nuclear non-proliferation. C. Most importantly, any nuclear attack on Israel would destroy Palestine and severely damage; if not completely destroy most the adjacent Arab Nations. This certainly would unite the world against Iran. D. Would Iran risk that! Let's extrapolate the situation and assume that Iran does in fact gain military nuclear capability. What will be the policy that emerges from Iran's development of a military nuclear capability? Israel certainly should be concerned with a Jihad mentality existing in the halls of Iran's government. However, the facts are indisputable that the primary 6 nations involved in the current and planned negotiations are well aware that Iran's use of a nuclear weapon would be the last act that this Nation would ever attempt. Nations in the area would respond deter and Iran's government would cease to exist. Any attack now on Iran would simply deepen the commitment of terrorism against Israel's from neighboring countries with the support of Iran. Somewhat lost in translation, is the focus on Iran's nuclear delivery systems as a primary factor in these negotiations. These delivery systems are more easily destroyed. Any attempt to deliver a weapon would be thwarted and then Iran would suffer severe consequences. So the issue is twofold... delivery and development of weapons grade uranium. These are thoughts for your consideration and debate. I shall leave you with a quote from one of the most admired senators from the United States ...Senator Sam Ervin ... "Government should never attempt to interject itself between any human being and the God he worships. This is true both as a theoretical matter and an essential matter and as an essential matter in a country like the United States where there are so many diverse religions. If Americans are to live together in peace, it is essential that religious organizations refrain from attempting to gain control of public policy or the public purse, or that government be otherwise neutral in respect to the different religions. The fact that the First Amendment guarantees religious freedom to ALL (emphasis added) does not indicate that government is hostile to religion. On the contrary government recognizes the value of religion by giving religious freedom to ALL (emphasis added)" Translate this globally i.e.to the world environment and you can see that governments that have religious fanaticism at their core are not promoting a peaceful world. We must be ever vigilant and not drop our guard and allow this fanaticism to destroy our goal of global peace, democracy and our homeland or the homelands of our allies. For these reasons I support AIPAC. Thanks for your attention. Please consider voting and endorsing my candidacy! Gene Hamilton Carswell Candidate for the 52nd district US Congress California. |
