PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Federal: Ten years and still working as a Mission Support Specialist with Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE), San Francisco District, Enforcement & Removal Office. I am like the Department of Budget, Finance & Procurement for Northern California, Hawaii and Guam. (As a Federal Employee, my involvement in political campaigns and activities are limited by the Hatch Act.) Military: Twenty-seven years commissioned experience, retired as Lieutenant Colonel on Active Guard/Reserve status. From 1992-1999 I was assigned to the National Guard Bureau in Arlington, VA. During that time I served as a budget officer to gain resources from the Army and then to allocate them to the 54 states and territories. In 1994-1995 I was the Base Realignment & Closure Project Officer. I worked closely with Federal, State, and local governments to workout base closures. Prior assignments included three years as an Assistant Professor of Military Science at Santa Clara University, twelve years as a "weekend warrior" in the California Army National Guard, and four years active duty in the Combat Developments Command at Fort Hunter Liggett, CA. Civilian: Nine years as a Paper Sales System Specialist with Longview Fibre Company in San Francisco. COMMUNITY: City: Currently Block captain for Neighborhood Watch program in San Mateo. Completed the City of San Mateo City Services Academy. County: Judge & Inspector for elections in San Mateo County. Several years as an adult Cub/Boy Scout Leader in San Mateo County and Fairfax County, Virginia. POLITICAL: 2nd Vice Chair in the San Mateo Republican Party. San Francisco Peninsula Chair for the 2008 Romney Campaign. EDUCATION: MBA, Golden Gate University, San Francisco, CA Command & General Staff College, Fort Leavnworth, KS BA, University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, MS |
