Before being appointed to the position of Judge, Victoria Cameron served the people as a prosecutor. These are some examples of the cases she successfully prosecuted.The Case: People vs. Kevin Carl Faulkner Faulkner is a sexual predator who beat and molested children as young as five years old in Blythe for nearly two decades. The trial lasted over eight months and was one of the longest criminal trials in the history of Riverside County. The Verdict: Guilty on 34 counts of child molestation, sentenced to 316 years in prison. The Case: People vs. Dennis Paul Decker Decker was a police officer who raped and molested an underage relative for over a decade, beginning when she was only 7 years old. The Verdict: Guilty on 16 counts, sentenced to 134 years in prison. The Case: People vs. Harrison Lavergne, Jr. Lavergene brutally stabbed a man to death in his car. He then viciously attacked two witnesses of the murder. He beat and kicked a teenage boy who responded to the murder victim's cries for help, and he violently stabbed another witness several times. The Verdict: Guilty on all counts, sentenced to 33 years in prison The Case: The People vs. Frank Robles Frank and his wife were providing childcare for a single mother with two-year-old twins. Robles brutally killed one of the twins with a blunt force trauma to the head. During the investigation the other twin was examined and discovered to have multiple skull fractures and broken bones caused by Robles. The Verdict: Guilty of killing the child and physically abusing the other. He was sentenced to 34 years in prison. The Case: The People vs. Sean Lopez Sean Lopez was an 8th Grade school teacher who befriended and molested vulnerable teenage boy students. He lured the boys to his apartment telling them he was a chemist testing new drugs that would enhance young boys muscles. Through this ruse he gained their trust then molested them. The Verdict: Guilty on 60 counts, sentenced to 75 years in prison |
