David Weinsoff, J.D. is currently serving his second term on the Fairfax Town Council and is a candidate for District 2 Supervisor. David looks to bring the skills he has acquired in over six years on the Fairfax Council + listening carefully to the public, focusing on local issues that matter most to neighborhoods, and supporting the work of the Town's dedicated staff- to the role of County Supervisor. David's 11 plus years of public service in the Ross Valley has enabled him to build a proven record of accomplishments, including negotiating pension reform in 2011, achieving balanced Town budgets in each of his six years on the Council and leading flood recovery efforts in the direct aftermath of the devastating 2005 flood.
David received his undergraduate degree at State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton and his law degree from the University of Bridgeport School of Law (now Quinnipiac College School of Law). David currently serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Political Science Department at Dominican University and is a member of the California State Bar. David lives in Fairfax with his wife Idie, a public school teacher in Ross.
