Political Philosophy for Thomas J. "Tom" Whittington
Candidate for |

|
I took interest in running for council to be of assistance, and to maintain the value of our community. I recognized the need to restore the basic infrostructure of this city. Services need to consentrate on the needs of the citizens. Police, Fire, Public works, Schools, etc. must function in this community so serve the taxpayers needs. Budgets must be met and maintained without the constant drain on City funds. I believe this can be done with good strong effort on all parts and services connected with the city. I also believe it is essential to grow this city. Finding new business, keeping and revitalizing old businesses so they have a chance to grow. We are a very centrally located community with access to everywhere in the surrounding areas. This makes our land very appealing. The growth of Xavier University should offer the City of Norwood the opportunity to entice new businesses. I have lived almost my entire life in this City and I see opportunity every where I look. |
