Getting the work done and saving the taxpayers $500,000By Dave WardenCandidate for City Clerk; City of Belmont | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
I will perform the work transparently and efficiently, and I will save the taxpayers $500,000. That's a promise!I'm giving the voters a choice. If you elect me--taxpayers will save $500,000, enjoy increased efficiency and transparency in the office, and will make the work accountable to the City Manager. We do not need two full-time people in the City Clerk's office for a City our size. There is a lot of make work, meetings, and inefficiencies in a department that costs you, the taxpayers, $382,000 a year--a department that has virtually no oversight and no incentive to change. I've spent 20 years taking on challenges in Silicon Valley, in both start-up and Fortune 500 companies. I will help set policy and will use technology to save money, make information more available to the public and staff, and make the office more accountable to everyone. I ask for your vote for City Clerk. Thank you! Dave Warden |
