Barbara and I have raised our children in Menlo Park, where we are blessed with great neighbors and lifelong friendships. I want to make sure we maintain that charm while protecting public safety. Getting budget costs under control is my top priority. As a former senior manager with the DEA and a member of the board of directors of two corporations, I have examined spending, reduced expenses, and eliminated waste. These are tough times for seasoned leadership. I have the needed experience in balancing complex budgets, both public and private, while maintaining essential services with fewer funds. We need to trim, reorganize and redefine our long term goals for financial management without imposing any additional costs on the taxpayer. I have solutions to high costs. Please go to my web-site at http://www.robsilano2011.com and view my tabs marked My Plan to see my 10 recommendations for 2011. We can get spending under control and we can do more with less.

During my 23 years in San Mateo County, I have made lasting professional and personal relationships while serving on the Menlo Park's Park and Recreation and Budget committees appointed by Lee Duboc, Mickie Winkler and Nickolas Jellins. I have coached sports teams in our area and have held a position on the AYSO Soccer Board of Directors. Thank you and I need your support and vote in November.
