Anne Oliva for City CouncilBy Anne E. OlivaCandidate for Council Member; City of Millbrae | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
A New Voice for MillbraeI am running for City Council because I want to help Millbrae reach its full potential. I understand the need for leadership in our community, and I know that my public-service and small-business experiences will allow me to make critical and important decisions for Millbrae. My husband, Chobe, and I have lived in Millbrae since 1991 and raised our three children here. I have been around and involved in politics all my life. My exposure to politics began with watching my father, Bob Marshall, in his role as Mayor of San Bruno. Over the years I have been directly involved in local elections and have served as an advocate for sound public policy. I am President-Elect of the San Mateo County Association of Realtors (SAMCAR), where I work with local, state, and federal elected officials on legislation around private property rights and keeping Millbrae and other local communities strong and attractive places to live, work, and do business. As a small-business owner, I understand the importance of planning and budgeting and will bring these skills to the Council. I am active in our community including past and present work as a volunteer for the Mills High School Athletics Boosters Club, as a member of the Italian-American Women's Club Scholarship Committee, as a volunteer for a local organization that helps seniors with basic home maintenance, and as St. Roberts Fall Festival Chair. My campaign is focused on my top three goals:
I respectfully ask for your vote. Anne Oliva |
