Introduce an LVN program & add student spaces to existing RN program

None of San Mateo County's colleges has a Licensed Vocational Nursing program & we have very few spaces allotted for the RN program. We need to change that.

And by providing only a limited number of RN student slots, many aspiring candidates with the motivation to upgrade their careers real-ize they may never achieve that through our existing programs. Help me reconnect our students to these programs.

We know there is demand in this industry and that nurses earn com-petitive salaries that allow them to live here on the Peninsula. Li-censed Vocational Nurses also have better upward mobility to become registered nurses.

If San Mateo's colleges are to continue to be viable options, we need to expand our existing programs! Colleges outside of San Mateo County offer these programs and others. Let's reconnect our stu-dents to successful careers.
