Study after study illustrates that in addition to highly qualified teachers, family involvement has been shown to increase student test scores, graduation rates, college going rates, and a major reduction in behavioral problems.Dr. Valdez supports having a family resource center in all district school sites so that parents can have access to technology resources, family empowerment workshops, and other skills-based programs that will enable all families to be engaged and involved in their children's educational development from pre-k to 12th grade. |
