I know from my 8 years on Council that Government can work + but it takes common sense, hard work, and leadership.

We must plan for our future, preserve our small town character, and foster a vibrant sustainable local business economy and live within our resources, both environmental and financial.

I have and will continue to fight to protect the programs which enhance our community, including protecting the environment, enhancing public safety, addressing homeless issues, and ensuring Santa Barbara is a safe place to live, work and play.

We must continuously work to reduce costs, while providing essential public services, keep people safe, and maintain our basic infrastructure including clean parks and beaches and preserve our neighborhoods.

I have experience making the tough choices: concentrating on the basics, working with other jurisdictions on regional issues, including wildfire prevention, transportation, workforce housing, and a comprehensive response to gang violence that includes prevention, intervention and law enforcement.

I have a long history of creating real solutions to difficult problems by bringing together diverse interests, listening carefully and making tough courageous decisions while keeping the best interests of the entire City in mind.

I would be honored to have your vote.
