Candidate for
Mayor; City of San Rafael

• Fiscal strength + As a business owner and CPA, Gary has the ability to tackle the most difficult financial issues facing our City. Only long term planning will build reserves and maintain services. This includes evaluating the most recent employee pension benefit agreements to assess their impact. Additionally, Gary will take decisive steps to improve business conditions and create good jobs.

• Preserving our neighborhoods + Gary's professional and civic experience will enable him to address the concerns of our neighborhoods such as clean public streets, inviting neighborhood parks and convenient library hours. He is committed to maintaining, and wherever we can, improving these community assets and services.

• Public safety + Gary is a staunch advocate for strong public safety and supports community policing in order to proactively address issues in our neighborhoods.

• Protecting the environment + As Mayor, Gary will lead San Rafael on environmental issues. He will continue to support the Marin Energy Authority and Climate Change Action Plan, as well as the ongoing greening of City Hall. He will work with community members and organizations to identify opportunities to lessen government's carbon footprint, reduce greenhouse gases and conserve energy.
