CAMPAIGN FLYER WITH SHORT BIOGRAPHICAL DETAILS

Your vote can elect a retired physician/educator with the time, interest and experience to work for the education of the children of Ross Valley, to help them develop the knowledge, attitudes and skills they will need to face an uncertain future. After attending nearly 100 Ross Valley School District meetings in the last three years, I recognize our local educational strengths and challenges.

I admire the talents and the dedication of the incumbent Trustees, Chris Carlucci and Heidi Kritscher Weller, and endorse Annelise Bauer in this election for the same reason.

If elected, I will help shoulder day-to-day responsibilities and  Carefully oversee the spending of your tax dollars.  Stress curriculum, critical thinking, and the sciences.  Support teachers with appropriate educational technology.  Increase communication with the community-at-large.  Facilitate increased volunteerism in our schools.

Experience and qualifications

 Degrees in science, medicine, anesthesiology, and diplomas in art history and in medical history .  Academic career teaching students, educators and physicians in medical schools, hospitals and other venues.  Experienced in innovative medical curricula design with implementation at the local, state and national levels.  Volunteer teaching and mentoring of children. Project Director of the Horticultural Learning Center.  A global educational perspective arising from extensive travel and visits to schools in nine countries. Plus three pediatric medical missions to Central America.  Volunteer experience with Manor School PTA, soccer coaching, Marin Agricultural Land Trust, and as Master Gardener at Bennett House for the last 11 years.  Knowledge gained from parenting three children and as a grandparent to four.  Ross Valley resident for 33 years.
