Restoring Constitutional Rights and Protections to Novato Citizens

By Jerome J. Ghigliotti, Jr.

Candidate for Council Member; City of Novato

This information is provided by the candidate
The incumbent city council has made it their policy to shove Sacramento mandates down the throats of Novato citizens. We must remind them that they derive their power to govern from the people, the people are not their subjects
I have lived in Novato since 1971, with an absence for law school. I found wholesome community values here. Those community values have eroded. As I predicted, we now have gunfire on the streets. That erosion is the responsibility of the current city council. The incumbents have imposed Sacramento and Washington social engineering upon Novato. The council has forced those policies down our throats. As we have seen by attendance at the council meetings, Novato citizens will not tolerate that. The council has directed the police chief and city manager to provide sanctuary to the worst elements now living in Novato.

We have lost our mandate of equality for all, and now suffer under a dictatorship of the lowest elements of society. I plan to divorce Novato from ABAG Sacramento mandates. I will oppose all additional low income housing. Current ownership of high density residences will be responsible for their tenants. I will seek to remove tax exempt status for those who fail. Novato contractors will use E-Verify to insure that Novato tax dollars are spent hiring unemployed American workers. I will remove city manager, attorney, and police chief who believe that their social values supersede the law.
