This information is provided by the candidate |
In the last 3 years, I along with the entire MPUSD school board voted to cut over $1 million dollars in District administrative expenses increasing funds for student programs. In the last 3 years, I along with the entire school board have worked with our Superintendent and her support staff to make reductions in District administrative positions and expenses. For example, in the last two years, the Superintendent of MPUSD has also been the Chief Business Officer, saving the district over $150,000 a year in salary expenses plus the cost of benefits. A number of positions have been downgraded when individuals either left the district or changed their jobs. For example, when the former Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources left the District, the position was restructured and the top Human Resource administrative position became an Executive Director. To see a complete list of the restructuring of District Administrative positions and the costs savings associated with them over the last 3 years, you can go to www.mpusd.k12.ca.us and follow these steps: click on District tab (2nd from the left at top of page), then click on Board of Education (in left hand column) , then click on Agendas and Minutes (in left hand column) then click on June 27th (Full packet) on page 13 is attachment F identifying $1.023 million in administrative cuts and restructuring for 2009-2012. It is also a great opportunity to see the District's enhanced website !! |
