My Personal Philosophy & ExperienceBy Robert K. "Bob" KirkpatrickCandidate for Board Member; Willits Unified School District | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Born in the county to a family of educators, I bring years of experience to the job of leading a school district.Born in Fort Bragg, I grew up valuing the character & quality of Mendocino County. It is the people & the environment that makes us unique. My family has dedicated their lives to education - my mother, my brother and his wife, my sister, me & my wife and my son and his wife are all teachers. I've been helping the WUSD board for 3 years & I'd like to continue helping & to finish some of the projects I believe in. I offer stability because of my 17 years in the classroom teaching history, English & ceramics and my 25 years as a school superintendent. I am able to stay cool and remain objective during hot debates. I am innovative & creative. I have built 8 schools & started 3 small schools including Sherwood School. I found & developed the site for Blosser Lane School. I'd like to continue to help WUSD students learn to live effective, successful and happy lives. I want to help guide the process to make Measure B realize its full potential to house our community's children safely in a supportive learning environment. |
