Alfred Renteria School Board Biography

Alfred Renteria is a life long resident of Pico Rivera and a graduate from El Rancho High School. He has been working to make a difference in the lives of many American families and their children by championing education quality reform issues. His candidacy on the November 8, 2011 election for the El Rancho Unified School District Board of Education reflects his continued desire to help serve the Teachers, Parents, and Students of our community. Alfred understands that now more then ever, obtaining a quality education is the key for all students' future success in a competing global economy.

Alfred Renteria's Volunteer and Community Service includes: Member of Measure EE Bond Oversight Committee, Chair of North Ranchito School Site Council, Chair of the District Advisory Council (DAC), Vice President of the El Rancho Dons Boosters for El Rancho High School, Vice President of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) for North Ranchito Elementary. Alfred's past experience includes, President of the El Rancho Band and Coloreguard Booster Club, School Site Chair Council at Pio Pico Elementary, Chair for School Site Council at North Park Middle School, President of the North Park Middle School Band Boosters, and Coach/Manager for the Pico Boys Baseball. Under Alfred's leadership as President of North Park Middle School Band Booster, El Rancho High School Band Booster and El Rancho High Dons Boosters he has helped raise thousands of dollars for local student scholarships and other school activities.

Alfred Renteria's Professional Experience Includes: Being a local business entrepreneur. Alfred has been applying budget and accounting principals serving the business community as a Business Account for 30 years. In addition, he has been a Licensed Income Tax Preparer for 30 years, and a Real Estate Professional for over 17 years.

Alfred Renteria is a family man: He is 49 years old, married to his wife Margaret Renteria, who is also a member of CSEA and works for El Rancho serving the students at Magee Elementary. Alfred and Margaret are also raising their three children Able 16 years, Sophia 14 years and Emily 6 years, who are attending schools with the El Rancho Unified School District.
