Governing Board Member; Whittier City School District

As your trustee, I will bring a fresh, independent perspective with high ethical values to the Whittier City School Board. With over 15 years of dedicated service to students of all ages and backgrounds, my wealth of experience in education makes me uniquely qualified to serve on this School Board. I'm prepared to make difficult choices to work for quality education during this time of deficits and reduced resources.

My priorities are:

Retain highly qualified teachers who are dedicated professionals with high academic standards.

Manage taxpayers' money wisely by improving budget transparency, and avoiding wasteful spending in areas not related to student learning.

Support a Back-to-Basics curriculum emphasizing phonics, reading, writing and mathematics while maintaining high academic achievement levels.

Promote strong character traits for students including: honesty, responsibility, respect and trustworthiness
