I work part-time preparing and staging homes for sale. I have twelve years experience in retail management, with knowledge of marketing, buying and budgeting. I also worked in the Civil Division of the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office and a variety of clerical positions. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Utah and additional coursework in Journalism and Mediation. I first went to work as a volunteer in my son's elementary school working in the library, in classrooms and on Site Council. I served as PTA President as well as numerous other PTA Executive Board positions and was awarded two PTA Honorary Service Awards. I firmly support parent and community involvement in the schools. To this day, I am a PTA member and this year began working with the EHS Athletic Boosters.
I have served as Board President for the past six years. I also serve as the Eureka City Schools Board Liaison to the City of Eureka/Humboldt County Committee, the Safe Routes to Schools Task Force and the Board's Facility Committee.
