Questions & Answers

1. Do you think Newark needs upper end housing and a golf course? Do you think Areas 3 and 4 would be good places for this development?

Bringing higher income families into the city via upper end housing should be beneficial to local businesses which in turn increases business tax revenues to the city to assist in services funding. Newark wins on all fronts with a wider range of the financial spectrum. Studies seem to show areas 3 and 4 as prime building sites, but as with any development, these of course, should be reviewed extensively and feedback from residents should be heard as part of any discussion.

2. If you are elected, will you either schedule Brown Act Training or participate in one if it is offered by another agency?

Absolutely, I am a lifelong proponent of government transparency and the ethics that goes along with openness in office. Ongoing seminars and training to reinforce the standards all elected officials shall be held to is more than welcome. As a Registered Tax Preparer I am required to pass an ethics test each year.
