Candidate for
Council Member; City of Emeryville

Jacqueline Asher is committed to public service and her community. She has been an educator for more than a decade, now working as a lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley. She also serves as the President of the non-profit Friends of Emeryville Child Development Center.

Jacqueline is proud to be the first person in her family to go to college, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Women's Studies and a Masters of Arts degree in English from the University of California, Irvine. She also holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of California, Riverside.

Jacqueline Asher lives in the Triangle area of Emeryville with her husband, Brian Carver. They are the parents of two young children, both attending Emeryville public schools.
