Anthony B. Quinn of Wyndmoor is an incumbent Springfield School Director.
Mr. Quinn has three daughters. Previously, he was involved in the township youth sports program.
He is a graduate of LaSalle University where he attended on a Mayor's Scholarship. He has 35 years legal experience and previously served a circuit court judicial clerkship and as a federal attorney.
He is completing his second four year term on the Springfield School Board.
Tony also serves on the board of the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit.
He served as Board President and oversaw the board move to televised board meetings. He serves on Property Committee and chairs the Finance Committee, and oversaw the addition of the new Erdenheim Elementary School and the renovation of the Springfield Middle School.
Tony is a frequent volunteer in the Philadelphia volunteers for the indigent program. He recently was awarded a commendation for excellence in legal advocacy for the indigent.
Tony has taken an active roll in advocacy for public education. Upon being elected in 2003, he was appointed county legislative liaison, meeting once each month, in addition to his school board duties, with school directors from the other 21 Montgomery County school districts on legislative issues. He was elected chairman and county coordinator in 2008 and is serving his fourth term.
Taking over from another school director who had lost interest, Tony became the Springfield liaison to the Pennsylvania School Board Association. There he was recognized for his willingness to lead, and was appointed to the Platform Committee. He was elected Assistant Regional Director for the Buxmont Region (Montgomery and Bucks Counties) and to the Legislative Action Council.
