Responsibilities of A School Director

This response will aummarize my thoughts of what a school board should be.
A school board requires an open forum to hear from all stakeholders of the West Jefferson Hills School District - the taxpayers, the students and their parents, the teachers, ancillary staff, and the administrators- to decide what is best for the education of the students. There are many more constraints today because of the cuts in public education funding. This drastic move calls for a more open dialogue where all sides can be heard.

This is not easy to do, and a member of the school board must have patience and the ability to listen to ALL sides. I am known to be very patient and a good listener. I can take all the information and make a sound decision based on the facts.
