As the Vice-president of Selinsgrove's borough council, I know how to build bridges between different perspectives to take care of the people's business with minimal impact on the taxpayers. I have thirteen years of experience in social work as a child abuse specialist and supervisor, so I'm familiar with those of us who are less fortunate. I have been a freelance stagehand, so I know what it's like to wonder where your next paycheck is coming from, and for the past ten years I've been a production manager and educator, so I know about budgeting, supervising people and paying the bills. My political party is hands-off and fiscally conservative; Libertarian stands for "liberty," not "liberal."

Citizens face an important decision because our veteran representative is retiring and the next representative will be a newcomer to the state legislature. You might make your decision based on who seems like the nicest guy. You might make your decision based on who bought the most signs. But it should be based on what's going on in the state capitol. Many of our best lawmakers are retiring, and some are willing to tell you it's because they're tired of party politics. It's time for us to start voting for the right people, not a favorite political club. Our state legislature has become one big football rivalry with two parties in constant conflict. They can't get a budget completed until 100 days late one year, and the next year they count on billions of dollars of uncertain federal money. It's time to send a third party into the conflict, and turn it into a conversation, so we can get the real work of government done. A recent grand jury investigation and lots of voter anger tells us we need someone who isn't part of that two-party stranglehold on our government.

As a third-party member, I can represent my fellow citizens without any need to keep party leaders in the legislature happy. I'm experienced in government operations and can represent the people of District 85 with the conservative values of fewer taxes, more responsible government spending, free market economy, and self-reliance.
