Marc Collazzo is a graduate of George Washington High School, Temple University, and Widener School of Law. He is a practicing attorney with over 15 years of experience in family law including divorce, custody, child and spousal support, adoptions, and protection from abuse (domestic violence). He has been admitted to the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar as well as the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Pennsylvania Bar. Marc is also a member of the Chester County, Montgomery County, Philadelphia County, and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. Marc also serves as a member of the Montgomery County Child Advocacy Project (MCAP) doing Pro Bono work on their behalf. Additionally, he has in the past provided legal services to several local unions including the Fraternal Order of Police. Throughout his years of practice, Marc has been part of several high profile domestic and civil matters, which have garnered regional and national attention from the Philadelphia Daily News and Inquirer, the Associated Press, Reuters News Service, all local news outlets, as well as a personal appearance on the Michael Smerconish morning radio program on 1210AM and Good Morning America. He has also authored several articles on family law, including "Protection from Abuse-Practice and Pitfalls" and lectured before the Montgomery County Bar Association regarding divorce and the military. Besides serving as a committeeman in the 58th Ward, 17th Division for many years, Marc served as a Legislative Aide to former State Representative George Kenney. Recently, Marc has served as the President of the Loyal Opposition, a Republican Policy group whose focus was to rebuild a thriving two-party system in our city. Additionally, their focus has been onthe Loyal Opposition sought to bring fiscal conservative ideas and policies to state and local budget issues. As President of Autistic Endeavors Learning Center, Marc has tirelessly worked to finally introduce to Philadelphia, the first of its kind Autistic School with a 1-1 student teacher ratio, and little-to-no tuition, which will open in the Mayfair section of the city. With more children being diagnosed this year with autism than aids, diabetes, and cancer combined, this initiative will go a long way in improving the lives of families with autistic children in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. |
